Happy Saturday all, 7/26/25
The "Shack" (And NYRA) raised its Ugly head yesterday, showing once again that "you can take the Garbage to the dump, but there's still a stench coming from the can".
Yesterdays 1st and 5th races had blatant interference braking from the gate, (outside horses) but instead of addressing these infractions they turned a blind eye as usual. Only when someone gets hurt will they be forced to finally do something about the gate issues. Shame on HISA and PETA too........
In Saratoga's 6th Race, claiming event, #7 Hero Status dropped in for a 20.tag making the horse the one to beat for the Flying P Stables group, horse wins the race, and claims we're dropped.
Someone is gonna get a decent horse that can run back at same class if they want, and probably be in contention for a win. But NYRA "The Shack" got played.
The Horse #7 Hero Status was claimed, but after the race and horse won, Santana pulled the horse up on the turn and jumped off the horse.
Big production ensues, horse gets banned off the track. Claim is voided, and Now Flying P is allowed to run the horse right back in for this discounted claiming price or less, and ring up another win. Not saying the injury did not happen, but smelt pretty bad from where I was standing.
So we all know now how to drop, pop, and keep your horse. NYRA should state if this situation occurs and a claim is Voided, a Penalty should be assessed, in this case you should not be allowed to race the horse back at this meet. Mark my words, if this horse comes back and wins again, You Heard it Here first. Great con, I hope I am wrong..........

Thank God for Sunday!
Been a tough week, and Now we have to deal with a Rainy Card today, but I do like a few Horses.
Yesterday I spoke about the Garbage that goes on at the "Shack", and I will leave that rant up because it is important for people to know how many things still need to be changed (as well as the corrupt in charge) in the Sport of Kings.
On Saturday, 07/26/2025, more visible corruption took place in the 8th Race at Monmouth.
The winner of the race, under left hand urging, came out in the stretch, interfering with the 3rd place finisher and also the 2nd place horse.
No inquiries posted from the Judges, but there was a Jockeys Objection.
No action taken, yet it was blatant interference.
These actions only endanger the Horses and Riders more, and I can't believe PETA and HISA are not clamoring for Removal of these Stewards.
Unless the Races are truly fixed, then no other action could be deemed relevant.
As for a Rainy Sunday at the "Shack"....

The "Shack", in True "Shack" Form Yesterday, 07/31/25, had a 16 way shake for the winner of the Eighth Race, #4 Khafre, trained by Linda Rice, and after it was over and a winner for the Horse declared, they Voided the Claim due to the Vet.
So what happens when this one comes back and wins for Linda during this meet????????????????
If this horse was injured,
did it run injured?
or
did it get injured during the race?
If it was entered injured, then why hasn't the state, PETA, HISA, stepped in and shut the barn down till a full investigation has been done????????????
Because they don't care, would be my guess.
Let's wait and see.........
